Web3 Foundation announces the 16th batch of 39 grant projects covering multiple blockchain fields.
Web3 Foundation Releases the 16th Batch of Grant Project List
The Web3 Foundation announced that its grant program has been running for four years. In 2022, the foundation funded a record 150 projects, more than in previous years. In addition, they received 267 applications, and 230 grant projects were completed and delivered their milestones.
In 2022, the Web3 Foundation's grant program reached two significant milestones: receiving the 1000th grant application and supporting the 400th project. This year, Polkadot's development activity also hit a historical high, with nearly 2500 active developers at peak times each month, making it one of the most active developer communities outside of Ethereum.
To better support the growing developer community, the Web3 Foundation has launched a web-based user interface that allows users to more conveniently understand the funding program and browse all signed projects, completed batches, RFPs, and other documents.
The 16th batch of funded projects includes a total of 39, covering multiple fields:
User Interface: Includes projects like DotPulse, Polkadot Snap, ChainViz v1, etc.
Signature: Distributed Private Key Management Project.
Chains and Modules: Including multiple projects such as TREX, LeetCoin, Substrate IPFS Utilities.
Tools, APIs, and Languages: such as cross-consensus messaging SDKs, Sol2Ink Phase 2, NFT infrastructure, etc.
Research: Involves fields such as digital inheritance in Web3, hybrid node research, etc.
Wallet: Coong Wallet project.
These projects cover multiple aspects of blockchain technology, from infrastructure to user experience, showcasing the diversity and innovation of the Web3 ecosystem. The Web3 Foundation stated that they will continue to seek new projects to support in order to further expand the Web3 ecosystem.
